Product Description:A great gadget for skiers, surfers, kayakers, or anyone doing physical activity in the sun, this ultraviolet watch monitors the current levels of UV radiation and warns against over-exposure. A powerful UV sensor on top of the watch detects radiation using the UV Index--a spectrum adopted by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) that measures the intensity of UV rays at the Earth’s surface as it relates to the average skin response. In UV Index mode, the watch reports the UV Index range numerically (with 2 or lower being the lowest level of exposure and 11 or higher indicating extreme levels of exposure), and via a color-coded chart along the watch face top. Two UV Index alarms can be set to signal when radiation levels move above a determined low level to a set maximum level.
