Product Description:The 23MK series airhandling units are the evolution of the historic 03MK series: they have inherited their robustness, flexibility and reliability and incorporate many technological and production improvements, but above all, they distinguish themselves for speed of consignment. The secret of this improvement is in the automation of the production process, which, without renouncing the flexibility for which MEKAR products are famous, rationalizes the component choice and ensures maximum performance in the most economical sizes for production. To achieve this the range has been designed around a modular pitch of 160mm in all three dimensions which gives rise to 28 basic models and 16 low height models particularly adapted for installation above false ceilings or in low plant rooms. Such a wide choice of models ensures that the smallest possible model can be chosen according to the coil face velocity. The 23MK units are therefore available in 44 models for an airflow range from 1,000 to 80,000m3/h and with static pressures up to 2,500Pa. The 16 low height models can be further reduced in height by eliminating the 150mm high standard base frame. The selection and quotation of the AHU can be done in two different ways: 1. By using the selection software using the MEKAR CONFIGURATOR available in Windows configuration, on an internet browser. 2. By choosing one of the possible pre-selected configurations Choice 1 (computerized selection) is the suggested choice for all situations since it permits precise, quick selection and quotation of one or more units taking into account all aspects of the design specifications. The final quotation documents provide a great deal of information on the unit’s configuration: technical data and capacity of each component, and/or psychometric diagrams of the treated air ( in both summer and winter cycles), detailed drawings with overall dimensions and positions of air and water connections and other details. This data is available in several different modes: printed, saved on PDF files and/or in RTF. The drawings in DXF format can be exported and used during the design stage for every type of project.For the above documents the client should contact MEKAR’s commercial office or the local agent or distributor who has access to the necessary software Choice 2 (pre-selected configurations) covers a limited number of cases, which however, are among the most common in use. This solution permits the operator to quickly obtain a budget price and a good approximate idea of dimensions and weights. The pre-selected configuration should not be considered a substitute for the computerised selection which is the best way to ensure that all aspects of the design brief have been adequately covered. Pre-selection type 1 fresh air Pre-selection type 2 fresh air with heat reclaim Pre-selection type 3 air mixing, heating and cooling Pre-selection type 4 heating cooling and heat reclaim Pre-selection type 1 ........ The type 1 preselected unit is a typical unit for treating 100% fresh air i.e. in all those applications with external winter temperatures of-5°C and summer entering air conditions of +34°C with 50% relative humidity. This type of unit includes: Aluminium profile frame with 50mm panels, sealed to frame with double gaskets, particularly smooth internal surfaces thanks to the exclusive aluminium profile which eliminates the protrusion of the fixing screws inside the unit. Pre-selection type 2 ....... The type 2 pre-selected unit is a typical unit for treating 100% fresh air i.e. in all those applications with external winter temperatures of-5°C and summer entering air conditions of +34°C with 50% relative humidity and extracting the stale air from the building with the possibility of reclaiming the heat from the extract air to heat the incoming fresh air.This type of unit includes:Aluminium profile frame with 50mm panels, sealed to frame with double gaskets, particularly smooth internal surfaces thanks to the exclusive aluminium profile which eliminates the protrusion of the fixing screws inside the unit. Pre selection type 3 ......... The type 3 preselected unit is a typical unit for simple application with mixing box i.e. in all those applications with external winter temperatures of-5°C and summer entering air conditions of +34°C with 50% relative humidity and mixing of a percentage of recirculated air from the building with incoming fresh air. This type of unit includes: Aluminium profile frame with 50mm panels, sealed to frame with double gaskets, particularly smooth internal surfaces thanks to the exclusive aluminium profile which eliminates the protrusion of the fixing screws inside the unit.. Pre-selection type 4 ....... The type4 pre-selected unit is a simpler version of the type 2 unit without humidification and re-heat coil.It is intended for those applications treating 100% fresh air i.e. in all those applications with external winter temperatures of-5°C and summer entering air conditions of +34°C with 50% relative humidity and extracting the stale air from the building with the possibility of reclaiming the heat from the extract air to heat the incoming fresh air. This type of unit includes: Aluminium profile frame with 50mm panels, sealed to frame with double gaskets, particularly smooth internal surfaces thanks to the exclusive aluminium profile which eliminates the protrusion of the fixing screws inside the unit.
