It anticipates Huxley dehumanization of the world, which we are currently witnessing. Reproductive technology, psychological manipulation and all kinds of controlled thinking and living, are presented in the novel as a distant, utopian vision of human destiny, but the sterility, absence of individuality, dehumanizovanost, which the writer at the beginning of the last century only guessed, is now, less than a hundred years later, become a reality.
