Description::Particleboard are made from small pieces (slivers) different types of wood (beech, hornbeam, lime ...) that can interconnect with synthetic binders under pressure in three layers. The inner layer of the larger splinters and outer layers are made of smaller slivers.
This chipboard is also called "raw chipboard" and as such it does not have an important use in the manufacture of furniture, but needs work ie. coating surface, but the advent of processed plywood that process is less frequently used.
Melamine faced chipboard is chipboard on the surface of which is glued melamine foil which gives the finish.
This process of making furniture much shorter and cheaper.
Large selection of highly decorative foil to the furniture gets quite a modern look, and its functions, in addition to basic, and becomes aesthetic.
