Description:Legalization of documents, their validity in the country and beyond, based on the "Rules of legalization, certification and translation of documents and other papers" approved by Decree 184/1958 год. He is amended with changes in laws and contractual relationships between Bulgaria and other countries.
Rules governing procedures for translation and legalization of documents issued in this country, and that will be used overseas as well as documents issued in other countries for use in Bulgaria.
The country legalization and certification of documents and other papers shall be made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abroad - from diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Persons who commit legalization and certification shall be determined by a written order from the Minister - MFA.
Translations from one language to another is not made directly, but only after the document is translated from one language to Bulgarian and from Bulgarian then a second language. In this case, the fees for both translation.
Translations are admitted corrections, deletions, insertions and deletions, are void.
Documents issued by various institutions in the country must be legalized at the Ministry only after certification by their respective ministries, which have jurisdiction (eg, a document that is notarized, you must first be certified by the Ministry of Justice and Legal Euro-Integration ). If the institution issuing the document is the Ministerial Office document certified by a central leadership or authority.
When issued by the municipality or mayoralty certification is performed by an authorized person by the Mayor (usually official civil status).
Once legalized by the Foreign Ministry, the document must be certified by a diplomatic or consular mission of the country of destination.
Documents originating from abroad and for Bulgaria must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State.
